5:00-7:00pm – Good Friday Prayer Walk
This year for Good Friday, we will be hosting a prayer walk for people of all ages. At each prayer station, you will read a portion of scripture and have the opportunity to engage with an element that reminds us of the journey to the cross..
This is a come and go event and will be open for anyone from 5-7pm. We expect the prayer walk to take between 15-30 minutes depending on the size of your group and ages within your group. This walk will be self-paced, so don’t feel any pressure to speed through it. Our hope is that you would take time to intentionally slow down and remember the cost of the cross so that the celebration on Sunday morning will be more meaningful.
If you have kids in your group, know that each prayer station will have special elements, scripture, and devotional thoughts for children so that they can join in the evening no matter their age.
At the end of the prayer walk, you will have the opportunity to take communion and be prayed over by one of our Elders here at Waterbrook.
We invite you to come as an individual, with a friend, or with your family. Again, our hope is that this prayer walk will give you a chance to slow down in a busy season and be reminded of the amazing grace that God showed us through the death of Jesus Christ.
The best part of the easter story is that it doesn’t end on Friday, but finishes with a celebration on Sunday! We will celebrate our risen Savior during 3 services this year.
7:00am – Sunrise Service
For the first time we will host a sunrise service. This service will be simple and focus on the calm morning that awaited the ladies who first visited the tomb. The service will last around 30 minutes and include some acoustic worship and a devotional by our Lead Pastor, John Robbins. We see this service as a way to start off your Easter slow and simple, then after you grab some breakfast, come celebrate with all that you’ve got during one of our regular services.
** Our hope is that the weather will allow us to host this service outdoors, but since we live in Texas where the weather is unpredictable, we do have a backup plan for an indoor Sunrise Service.
9:30AM & 11:00AM – Easter Services
Get ready to pack the house as we sing and celebrate our risen Savior this Easter! Each service will be filled with songs, a time for kids, and a sermon geared towards the hope we have because of the resurrection.
To help accommodate families worshipping together, we won’t have classes for our Kids Ministry (kindergarten – 4th grade) or our Student Ministry (5th-12th grade).
We will have classes for our preschool and nursery kids.
